Nestled into the Wirral countryside, the health club and spa at Thornton Hall combines scenic surroundings and a range of facilities to provide a relaxing break for guests. Alongside the gym and aerobic spaces there is a 20-metre pool with a satellite whirlpool, a spa pool, and two outdoor hot tubs with power jets. There is also a hemlock sauna, fibre optic steam room, a snow cave, and for those wanting to add an extra dimension to the experience rasul treatments are available as well. Having previously been a winner at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2013, it is no surprise that treatments are an important part of the experience at Thornton Hall. Offering a collection using ESPA, Elemis, MD Formulations, Jessica Nails, and Mama Mio products, facials, massages, manicures and pedicures sit alongside The Lodge clinic, where GPs and nurses also offer more specialised therapies.
Hotel & Accommodation
Once the home of Liverpool shipping magnates, the Bamford family, Thornton Hall was built in the mid 1800s and rests in the pretty village of Thornton Hough. Today it is a four star hotel where rooms and suites look out onto the surrounding gardens, and contemporary design includes iPod docking stations, Sky Sports 1, 2, and 3 as standard in the bedrooms, and balconies for upgraded rooms.
The Hotel Restaurant at the hotel offers impressive fine dining with international dishes for lunch and dinner as well as a wide collection of accompanying wines in the Bar. For spa goers, the Health Club’s own Times Restaurant is available for lighter meals throughout the day.
