    Scenic location

Located in a series of Georgian buildings that nod to the town’s Roman past as well as its future, you will find classical columns offset by walls of glass, water and lots of natural light. The open air rooftop pool offers far and away the best views in the city, whether in snow or sunshine.

The spa is beautifully located at the heart of this spectacular city, but it is also in an extremely convenient position close to Bath Spa train station - a short walk or taxi ride away. Destination Spa

Thermae Bath Spa is the original day spa experience based on healing waters that have attracted visitors to the area for more than 8,000 years. Today it is a fusion of historic and contemporary style with a wide range of thermal facilities including baths fed by the city’s natural thermal, mineral-rich waters. The day spa is open from 9am until 9.30pm.

Spa & Leisure

Britain’s original natural thermal spa in the centre of the historic town of Bath, Thermae Bath Spa is the best of traditional and contemporary spa experiences, located in the heart of a World Heritage Site and working exclusively with Spabreaks.com.

The thermal springs at this site are believed to have attracted visitors for their healing powers for more than 8,000 years. The city itself was founded around the springs by a prince, grateful for their medicinal properties, in 863BC. It was the Romans however, who built the Aquae Sulis as a sanctuary of rest and relaxation, and since then Bath Spa has drawn visitors from far and wide to relax in its waters.

Today the site has benefited from inspired contemporary updates and facilities, not least the rooftop thermal pool that allows visitors to luxuriate in whilst taking in views across the rooftops of the beautiful city of Bath.

Inside however, the multi-sensory experience is the ultimate in thermal experiences. It offers a wealth of facilities that revolve around the baths, which are fed by the natural thermal, mineral-rich waters. There’s also an infrared sauna, a Roman-themed steam room and a Regency-themed steam room, a menthol ice room; a celestial relaxation room with heated loungers, starlit ceiling and video footage of space to immerse yourself in; experience showers, a rooftop hydro pool and a second thermal pool with massage jets, whirlpool and lazy river. Separately outside is a small outdoor space called the Cross Bath, which can be hired privately if you're feeling particularly decadent. All of it is beautifully designed in a fusion of glass, stone, natural light and water that brings the architecture up to date while respecting its history.

A destination spa in every way, guests are provided with robes, towels and slippers and experience three hours in the facilities. There are also 27 treatment rooms which offer a range of more than 30 therapies from the Aromatherapy Associates product line. Treatment rooms lead into a relaxation lounge, and guests are also invited to enjoy food and drink in the Springs Cafe Restaurant, remaining in the comfort of robe and slippers.
