Hotel & Accommodation
Set on the edge of The Mere Lake within easy reach of Manchester city centre, and a short journey to the historical city of Chester and the Award winning city of culture Liverpool, an elegant Victorian building constitutes the main at The Mere. It has 81 bedrooms and 10 suites that survey the scenic beauty of the golf course and the Lake District beyond, and rooms are a contemporary juxtaposition to the hotel’s exterior, characterised by earth tones and textured fabrics. There are a number of dining options including Browns at The Mere and the Club Lounge and Bar, all overseen by Executive Chef Mark Fletcher who selects locally sourced, seasonal produce for an all-encompassing menu. There is also a Spa and Lounge Health Club next to the leisure facilities, and the cryptically titled 11th Green snack and drinks bar for all those in-between periods.
