Exceptional spa feature

There are so many lovely things about this spa, but one of the most unique has to be the wild swimming pool, which is a heated outdoor pond, complete with reeds and moss for a natural vibe.

Wow-factor

The surroundings, which the hotel and spa have so eloquently celebrated in the exquisite design of both the spa building and its experiences. Make sure you take a stroll around the grounds or borrow a bicycle to explore the Downs while you’re here.

Hotel & Accommodation

A luxury country house hotel with exceptional views of the South Downs, South Lodge is a stylish and sophisticated retreat where sumptuous soft furnishings meet innovative design. Thoughtfully curated for the best of customer experiences, rooms and suites are a seductive fusion of past and present. Original features of the historic property combine with carefully chosen soft furnishings, rich in texture and colour, across all rooms, suites and junior suites.

There are three restaurants, two of which are award-winning, as well as lounges and the terrace for coffee or afternoon tea. Taking the chef's table concept to a new level, Tom Kemble in The Pass is an intimate experience for up to 28 guests focusing on dishes with ingredient-led seasonality alongside exquisite wine that’s expertly paired. Camellia has two AA rosettes and uses ingredients from the kitchen garden to deliver contemporary fare. Botanica is the brand new Mediterranean inspired restaurant located in the same area as the spa. It is where head chef Jonathan Spiers draws on the South Downs as a larder for fresh ingredients. It offers a largely plant based menu, including inspired dishes like the Wasted Burger, made entirely from the pulp from the freshly prepared morning’s juices.
