Part of The House of Daniel Thwaites collection, North Lakes Hotel’s spa is an award-winning, relaxed country retreat on the outskirts of Penrith. Alongside the scenic location and exposed wooden beams facilities include; a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and a newly refurbished gym and fitness studio for exercise classes from circuits to spin.
There are six treatment rooms all stocked with luxury Caudalie products with a range of treatments ranging from facials and massages. Manicures and pedicures are also available to complete your indulgent experience, plus they use Mii make-up and tanning. There is plenty of space to unwind in their Spa Sanctuary and Spa Relax, so you don’t want to miss out.

Warm and inviting North Lakes Hotel and Spa is part of The House of Daniel Thwaites collection, awarded the AA Hotel Group of The Year Award in 2016. Located on the edge of the Lake District it is an ideal base for exploring the area known for its natural beauty and scenic walking routes. The bedrooms are all simply designed with signature details the standard. The rooms all stock Caudalie toiletries and homely touches of fresh milk and water for them much needed features. The suites offer further luxuries of additional space, seating areas, and those all-important fluffy bathrobes.
The hotel’s restaurant, FYR, the design inspired by the local Lakeland and features a bespoke open fire grill right in the heart of the restaurant. Thanks to head chef, Doug Hargreaves, the menu offers a distinct Cumbrian twist, with locally sourced produce at the centre of many of the dishes. Expertly put together our menu is a distinctive one.
