Spa & Leisure

The Lifehouse ethos stems from the wisdom of their resident naturopath and her specialist team, so there is a synergy between the treatments, food and therapies. Facilities, which are lined on one side by a glass wall – perfectly positioned to enjoy a view of the setting sun, include a hydro pool, salt room, sauna, steam room, scented experience shower, plunge pool and exercise pool, while on the first floor there is also a dedicated manicure and pedicure room, and a relaxation room.

The gym meanwhile focuses on the power of the body – so beside the treadmills and such there is TRX training, kettle bells and cable machines – as well as trim trails outside. Of course none of this would be complete without a few treatments, and using Clarins, Elemis, Biotec, Natural Spa Factory, Made for Life (Formally Spiezia) and OPI, Lifehouse showcases everything from massages and facials to reflexology, shiatsu, myotherapy, energy healing, and also consultations on nutrition, detox and weight loss.

Hotel & Accommodation

Built amongst the foundations of Thorpe Hall, the 19th century home of Lord and Lady Byng; the hotel is a fusion of ultra contemporary design fused with the red brick of original outhouses and surrounded by 130 acres of garden. The rooms themselves are unequivocally modern – invariably looking out onto the gardens.

There is a main Lifehouse restaurant, the spa café, and a bar area – all of which look out onto the character defining gardens complete with fruit trees and a lily-filled lake; and while nutrition is considered with health in mind, it is not to the detriment of taste and there is no pressure to eschew indulgence. Cocktails, desserts – it’s all available, and it’s all fresh, and if you so choose – in keeping with your spa package as well.
