At Gleddoch Golf and Spa Resort, the Imperia Spa is a contemporary addition with views over the Clyde Estuary. Elegantly designed, it’s the perfect environment for relaxation, especially after a round of golf or a stroll in the extensive grounds. There’s a gym for working out, as well as a heated outdoor spa pool so you can really make the most of those views. There’s a 17-metre indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, experience shower and heated loungers which are extremely therapeutic.
Alongside the facilities, the spa offers a range of therapies. There’s a nail salon and six treatment rooms including a couples’ room. Therapists use a combination of products from ELEMIS (famous for their quality) and isgha (developed in the Outer Hebrides using the purest Scottish seaweed) to deliver a range of face and body treatments. Afterwards, you can head to the relaxation room, and there’s also a conservatory to spend time in enjoying the company of a friend or partner, or simply reading a good book.

A historic building on the outside, refurbishment in recent years means that inside it’s got all the trappings of modern hospitality. It has 10 rooms and suites so it has an intimate feel, each with their own sense of style but never wavering from plush materials and characterful pops of colour. Choose from Classic and Executive Rooms or even Junior Suites.
Dining at the hotel is also a well considered treat. The restaurant, VISTA, serves a menu of distinctly Scottish provenance, with local fish, vegetables and meats alongside panoramic views of the grounds. Meanwhile indulgent afternoon teas in the Camellia Lounge and light bites at The Nineteenth Bar are also very much part of the experience. The evening wouldn’t be complete without a whisky by the fire in the Dram Whisky and Gin Bar either.
