Meanwhile, the SOUL Spa is a modern space in tranquil woodland surroundings offering a range of luxurious Temple Spa treatments for face and body. Hotel & Accommodation

Close to Windsor and with easy access to London, this former hunting lodge was built in 1727 and retains its historic charm with wood panelled walls and manicured gardens that have charmed the good, the great and even the English National Football Team when they stayed here during Euro ’96. Refurbishments have meant that while the rooms offer a sense of history with four-poster beds and rich fabrics, they also incorporate a contrasting sense of modernity thanks to a neutral palette and luxury details. The cherry on the cake at Burnham Beeches is the AA Rosette Awarded Gray’s Restaurant, named for the poet, Thomas Gray, who is said to have visited his uncle here in 1737 when he owned the house, and was inspired to write his famous poem, “Elegy in a Country Churchyard”. It is located in the original building, but the surroundings are all stucco ceilings and Georgian style, the menu is one of cosmopolitan elegance at both lunch and dinner.
