Spa & Leisure
The spa at Ashdown Park Hotel is a newly designed barn-style addition to the main building, which complements the long-standing architecture. It is intimate and very romantic and includes a pool, sauna, steam room and a gym amongst its facilities, in addition to the tennis courts, croquet lawn, putting green and jogging trails across the rest of the grounds.
The spa also offers exclusive treatments by Kerstin Florian who specialises in using natural elements including thermal mineral water, mud, algae, herbal extracts and essential oils.
Hotel & Accommodation
Ashdown Park Hotel has served as a hospital, university, home for soldiers, and a preparation centre for nuns, and although the spa area is new, the place as a whole retains a historic vibe. Today, the hotel has 106 rooms and suites, and is surrounded by 186 acres of land including the hotel’s own 18-hole golf course, with the Ardencote Forest beyond.
The main restaurant is the award-winning Anderida Restaurant, where all meals are served, including dinner, which is a formal affair where most guests opt for smart casual attire or formal wear. The food is well deserving of its credited reputation, and there is a fantastic feeling of ceremony – very traditional service matching classical fare. There are also Drawing Rooms with roaring fires, and the Fairways Lounge in the Country Club for more relaxed dining. A recent addition is the Forest Brasserie, located in our delightful Country Club and overlooking the golf course and forest beyond. It is a perfect setting for those looking for a relaxed and informal dining experience. Enjoy a relaxing cup of tea or coffee after your morning swim, a casual lunchtime meeting with a group of friends or perhaps a Saturday evening meal with great food and a lively atmosphere.
