Are spas open?

A return to wellness

Customer Service Update

Following the easing of lockdown restrictions on 19th July, spas are now open across the UK.

In short, spas are now open, however there may be changes to traditional processes that you need to be mindful of when booking your stay. For example, many destinations are continuing to limit the number of people using the facilities at any given time in order to allow for social distancing, and to facilitate cleaning between guest visits. This might mean that you need to pre-book a time slot for use of facilities. It may also mean that spa destinations get booked up in advance.

What can I do on my spa break?

Are Saunas and steam rooms open?

Saunas and steam rooms have now reopened in the UK. Most spas are limiting the number of people who can use them at any given time, and you will likely be given a time slot for use of facilities as part of your spa day or break, when you arrive at reception.

Are Jacuzzis, pools and hot tubs open?

Jacuzzis, hot tubs and pools have now reopened in the UK, but like saunas and steam rooms, most spas are limiting the number of people who can use them at any given time, and you will likely be given a time slot for use of facilities as part of your spa day or break, when you arrive at reception. It is also recommended that you continue to observe respectful social distancing when using the wet facilities.

Are spa treatments available?

Spa treatments are now available in the UK. We often get asked if it is safe to have a massage, and the answer is yes - if spas are offering touch treatments then it is safe to have them. We do recommend that you wear a face mask before entering the treatment room, and if you have any Covid-related symptoms before your spa break then you would be advised to stay at home and wait until you feel better. Most therapists will continue to wear face masks during treatments, although it is no longer government mandated.
